Higher Diploma in Communication Art
The Higher Diploma in Communication Art (HDCA) was designed for students who love the challenge of creating communication pieces. Students will learn various concepts and techniques in developing communication media i.e. TV spot, documentary, drama, and other stage appearances. The learning environment will involve the use of digital camera, digital video camera, software, and media editing station.
The HDCA curriculum was also developed to suit requirement of local market and adopted best practices from relating international curriculum. A distinctive feature of the HDCA program is that top communicating art professionals from industry will participate as adjunct instructors bringing real world perspectives into the classroom.

Course Areas:
Foundation Courses |
The foundation courses provide students with a general knowledge about Lao culture, basic laws, political system, psychology, environmental issues, sociology, and philosophy and basic background in math and economics.

Institute Core Courses |
These compulsory courses will develop the skills necessary to succeed in a dynamic and challenging business environment. |
Communication Art Core Courses |
The core courses of communication art grounds students in the theories, concepts and working tools that are essential for operating in a modern communicating media environment. |
Internship and Research |
An important feature of the HDCA is the internship program at established organizations. The internship program aims to provide students with real working experience in the related area of study, deeper cross-cultural appreciation of business practices and research. The duration of the internship program is a minimum of 2 months. During the internship, students are required to do accounting-related research project. |
