The Soutsaka College of Management and Technology, an educational institution, has been authorized by the Private Education Department of the Lao Ministry of Education to offer Bachelor and Higher Diploma Degrees in Business Administration, Communication Art, Computer Science, Accounting and carry out research in related fields. Bachelor and Diploma Degrees awarded by the College are approved and recognized by the Lao Ministry of Education.
In addition, in September 2005, the Lao Central Bank (the Bank of Lao PDR) has authorized SCMT to be a Micro Finance Training Institute which offers various training courses in the area of micro finance in Laos.
